AbstractWind energy is supposed to provide the world with “clean Ever more complex socio-technical systems enable modern societies to profit from most technological developments in everyday life. New means of communication and transport, cheap energy and supply goods as well as stable global business opportunities are the basis for the comfortable environment many modern civilizations have to offer. Energiesysteme befinden sich in einem tiefgreifenden Wandel hin zu cyber- physischen Systemen. Disruptive Veränderungen, die von der Transformation des Energiesystems und der Komplexität der miteinander verbundenen Systeme herrühren, setzen das Stromnetz neuen, unbekannten Risiken aus. In this broad field there are two different approaches.

Abfall Obituary: Stefan Gossling-Reisemann. We mourn our long time colleague, Stefan Gößling-Reisemann, who has been a Professor at the University of Bremen, a member of the artec Research Center Sustainability in Bremen since 2003, editor for book reviews for the Journal of Industrial Ecology, and a valued part of the industrial ecology community. Stefan Gößling-Reisemann, Universität Bremen Marine ecosystems will be increasingly affected by the effects of ocean acidification and ocean warming, which can be exacerbated by further stressors such as hypoxia. Stefan Gößling-Reisemann is Professor for Resilient Energy Systems at the University of Bremen, in Bremen, Germany. His research focuses on industrial ecology, its methods, and the resilience of energy systems. Dr. Stefan Gößling-Reisemann, Fachgebiet Technikgestaltung und Technologieentwicklung, Fachbereich Produktionstechnik der Universität Bremen. S. Gößling-Reisemann What Is Missing in Life Cycle Assessment, Materials Flow Analysis, and Other ToolsOne of the main fields of research within industrial ecology is the measurement of the metabolism of regions, industrial systems, production processes, or product systems.
